5 Questions with Wellness with Dominique

Guess who’s swearing a solemn oath (yet again) to start blogging more…☺️

Well, at the very least, I’m off to a promising start this week!

This blog post is a little feature on my beautiful client Dominique, an incredible/strong/warm/funny/amazing registered massage therapist based in Burnaby, B.C.

Wellness is a journey everyone can begin.

Dominique recently came in to get some business branding headshots to go along with her new website, Wellness with Dominique.

As I got to know Dominique through the photo shoot process, one of the wonderful things I learned from her is the idea that “wellness is a journey everyone can begin”. While a lot of people might think that wellness is unattainable, that’s just not true according to Dominique.

As she explains, “The older we get, the deeper the connection and understanding of our relationship with our health grows. Nurturing this relationship with intentions of love and respect is something everyone deserves”.

5 Question with Wellness with Dominique:

1) How long have you been an RMT?

A: I’ve been in practice since 2014.

2) What's the best thing about being a massage therapist?

A: The best thing about being an RMT is the diversity of people I'm fortunate to work with. Being privy to peoples similarities and differences is eye opening and compelling.

3) What is one thing about massage therapy that you wish everyone knew?

A: I would like people to understand the health benefits of receiving consistent massages. Regular massages are a great way to support all of our body's systems. Massage is not only beneficial for general stress relief, but it can also make an impact on stress-related health issues such as high blood pressure, cortisol levels, lowered immunity, and circulation. It is also a support for our soft tissue in times of injury, recovery times, and improves skin texture and tone!

4) What's your #1 wellness tip?

A: Move your body daily! Not just from your bed to your computer chair! Your body craves movement. Low impact activity will nourish your joints, support your circulatory system and mental health.

5) If people want to learn more about you where can they go?

A: People can find me online at:
