I know it’s been a few months since the last one, and I have a few fun blog posts coming up to keep an eye out for, one of which will involve yours truly modelling examples of good versus bad posing, so stay tuned for that🤓.

But for right now, here’s a quick little blog post about a recent beauty photography session I did recently that was featured in Elegant Magazine’s August 2020 edition.

This set features the incredible Morgan Frank (repped by World Management).

Makeup by the always awesome Eugenia at Makeup By Supernova.

For this set, Eugenia had the idea of working with an orange eyeshadow (her favorite colour) as a starting point for inspiration, which totally worked for me. I’m doing a lot of business and corporate headshots for women at the moment which usually requires a more natural makeup look (unless we’re doing personal branding headshots, where we can go WILD depending on the person’s brand). At any rate, I certainly don’t often get to work with a beautiful burnt orange colour palette, so to get to do something like this was a lot of fun.

I used my two absolutely favorite backdrops- my gold one that I got from Seamless Photo a few years ago (sadly, Seamless Photo shut down about a year ago), and my ‘still feels new’, but now about 6-months old hand-painted olive backdrop from Franklin Backdrops.
